Why Does My Bowen Therapist Keep walking away?

What if she's walking away because the Bowen Move hasn't finished speaking?
OR Perhaps she's just making tea??

A Bowen move speaks-
The two-minute wait lets the body answer.
And perhaps that’s why Bowen can be so difficult to explain.
We can talk about fascia, the nervous system, sensory information and the body processing what it has received…
But most clients will still describe it to their friends by waving their hands around, attempting a questionable Bowen move on their shoulder and saying:
“I don’t really know what she did… and then she kept walking away… but I feel amazing.”
So I’ve recorded a new six-minute episode of The Listening Body explaining why:
The Two-Minute Waits Are Where the Magic Happens.
Not because Bowen therapists need reminding about the waits—but because we sometimes need better words to explain why doing less can allow the body to do so much more.
And if you practise another kind of bodywork, there’s something here for you too:
When does the body need more input—and when does it simply need us to stop interrupting?

And please share it with a client who still suspects you’re simply wandering off to put the kettle on.
